Inquisitor questions

I have a couple of Inquisitor questions:
1. Do ignites benefit from the Inquisitor ascedancy node Inevitable Judgement at all? I'm thinking that they are probably not considered as hits, so the node is probably useless for ignite damage (besides helping the initial fire damage hit). But I'd like a confirmation, if it is not too much of a hassle. 2. How large is the AoE of Augury Penitence? Being a ranged character, I'd like to know how far away I can back up before this passive becomes useless for me. Thanks in advance to anyone who sheds some light on these questions for me. 1. Inevitable Judgment only applies to Crits (ignore Resist), and non-Crit Hits (10% Pen). Damage over Time cannot Crit and does not Hit. So yeah, not terribly exciting for Ignites.

The radius on most of those Ascendancy "nearby" things is 40 according to Mark GGG, which is ~half a screen. It does give an indicator, where it puts an icon on mobs when affected.
