Noob needs help

Hei folks!

Fresh start in POE a few days ago with a Tornadoshot-Ranger, realised that the build was tagged 2.0. Started over with a friend of mine, he's playing witch, me Marauder as I searched for beginner friendly budget build. Started the build and realized that I dealt literally no dmg (compared to the witch), and that I was squishy, too. Realized that I maybe failclicked the google result and was persuing a Warchief-Build based on Facebreaker Gauntlets.

I have now idea about the mechanics of Warchief Totem - Marauder. With idea I mean that I don't know the mechanics of POE in depth and why the totem deals more dmg than a Marauder - build wielding a twohander and actually smashes targets. I admit that this would be a playstyle I prefer more, but I can play anything. If it works smoothly.

See my charlist. Is my lvl 20 Marauder useful for anything? I mean, can I rescue him?
I would just like to know if there is any specc out there that can be used with what I skilled so far.

P.S.: As I said, POE noob, but not a dork. Decent history in comparable games like D3 (yaaaawn). So it's totally fine to give me some good sources to get to know stuff. I obviously did not find the good sources yet...

your characters are private. change in account settings
main warchief mechanics that you get totem damage nodes, and useful ascendancy chieftain nodes. place a totem and hide around corners. also your link setup does not include multistrike or melee splash gems instead gems increasing damage.
any 20lvl character could be rescued.
