Berrots, The Breaker = bugged or 5% balance team or just l2p.?

like the titel says:

I (lvl 73, molten strike/ lightning trap witch, doing fine so far) run into a renegade chest on arcade map (tier 1). It was guarded by 2 renegades: Berrots, The Breaker (tier 4, highest tier) togheter with Kalria, The Fallen (tier 4, highest tier). I could not kill them, died 3 times and then the last portal was gone. The map had no damage mods, only "beyond" mod (no problems there). I died before 9 times from normal to maps to this point, mainly because of testing around (first witch char, first melee witch char too).


Kalria, The Fallen was a tough one, but with a bit higher level, I think its doable (still a pain in the ass). But Berrots, The Breaker feels just broken. Especially since he throws! moving! non-attackable! chaos (not 100% sure) searing-bond totems or sort of minions.

But maybe it was just bugged or Im missing something or I just played it wrong ...

Well anyone had a hint ?

I had two of those in a vaaled temp chains frozen ground double boss multi-damage-mod T15 Overgrown Ruin. I was not able to clear the map by a very narrow margin (both were down to less than 10% health when I ripped due to a playing error of getting freezelocked and forgetting to use my anti-freeze flask), but I think that is fine given that the map had a lot of mods, especially the temp chains + frozen ground was mean. Depending on the layout of the surroundings the fight can get pretty hard.

I have not encountered him in a lower map, but I love that they have things in the game that are actually challenging.

What is worse, btw: Having a voidspawn of Abaxoth bloodline pack spawning Abaxoth in the Uber Lab when locked somewhere between traps and a locked door. I panicked (and died) ;).


EDIT: I would vote for l2p, but that is just what I think.
Remove Horticrafting station storage limit.

lolol if Berrots is really the guy with chaos bond minions, he's broken. Got insta shanked on my 7k life 6% regen melee guy lol. I had 40 chaos res..

Well, just to get things clear: had you fight berrots or just two of the renegades ?


If he is the one with the purplish searing bond minions, it was him (the room was full of that stuff ;)).
Remove Horticrafting station storage limit.
i like it how ggg idea of a 'challenge' is to jump and face stomp you from nowhere with insta gib mechanics. well at least you are ranged...

Hm, he had small, unkillable minions moving around with *green* searing bond. He throws chaos+ ice traps + totems too. But maybe it was just a graphical variation...

Well, if you adress me: Im playing melee / molten strike as main damage. But since ggg hates melee (*this is a buff*), I have lighting traps as support / backup plan for special situations like this...
