Need a way to destroy Shaper's Orbs

This item has no practical use for me on Standard. I simply do not want to use it. I could shape a T5 into a T10 - but I do not run T10s with my high-level characters on Standard. I vendor them for the next tier. However, I cannot vendor shaped maps - the vendor recipe doesn't work for them. Thus, they are rather useless.

Yes, I could trade them away or something, but T10 maps are like 1c and it is a hassle to find a buyer for them. The Shaper's Orb just clogs up my inventory.

Shape a Map and just use it to chisel if it drops.

Chisel recipe is annoying, besides, do you use T10s for Chisel recipe?

well you said no one buys the maps, so I was just making a suggestion. Let your inventory be cluttered , I don't really care.

Well I don't want the Shaper's Orb - I just need a way to get rid of it.

T10s upgrade to T12s in two steps, so 9 T10s is 1 T12. Which is OK for me.

Take the thing out of town and drop it. And never pick it up when it drops again if you do that map.

Throw it on one of the crafting benches that you almost never use.


But I also thought you could vendor 3 of the same shaped maps and get the next tier map that is in line with it. So you would get a tier 11 map by selling 3 and it would be the tier 11 map in the direct line of the shaped map you did.

Didn't work last time I tried it.

I have too many Shaper's Orbs for all my crafting benches I guess :(.


EDIT: Didn't know I can actually drop Shaper's Orbs outside of town. That solves the problem!

You actually can vendor up shaped maps.

I don't know what you are talking about. I vendor shaped maps all the time. You get back a map one tier higher as usual. WTF? Shape any damned map and forget it.
