How essence modifies the item level

I am a new player, tried to google and couldn't find anything on that.

So when I used an essences of greed, for example, lev 4 on an item of lev 20, it increased the min item level to 28, or 34, or 35. When I used lev 5 essence it made my item lev 51. Is there any way to see these level ranges for each essence level?

I have tested myself for lev 4 and lev 5 essences but testing with lev 5+ essences is really expensive, I already lost a few chaos on that. I also tried to google the level restrictions for maximum life modifiers and failed too. Any help on that would be appreciated.

It probably won't be 100% accurate because the essence mods might not strictly follow the tiers, but you can see what the required level is on similar values of the mods. There are a couple places that have that information. Exilemods.com is one of them.

Edit: essences can't change the item level. That never changes. The mods and base item types dictate the required level, which is a different thing.

3 prefixes and 3 suffixes is the limit. Plus an implicit on some items.
