tornado shot + chain

hi,
i wanted to know how chain work on tornado shot:

with 1 chain ( from ascendancy) does all secondary projectile chain 1 time ???

ex: tornado shot + superior multiple projectiles + 1 chain = 3 x 5 x 1 possible chaining projectiles ?

Yup, that's how it works (if you don't have any sources of pierce or fork).

so each 1 sub projectile will chain or just the first 1 that hit someone ?

Yes, but again, as paper rat said, you have to not be piercing enemies. And in this meta, pierce is toooo strong.

want to do an arrow-bullethell build ( also to use the new bow )
and with huge projectile speed X 15 sub-projectiles its hard to see them chaining ...
