Map put in map device, change char, map disappeared

Hi,

I lost a rare tier 7 legacy map by doing this :

- I alced a map, and decided to do it with another char.
- I put it in the map device then "exit to character selection" without activating it.
- I chose another char and head to the map device, finding it empty. The map I have put there previously vanished, poof, lost in the matrix.

Did I exit too fast ?

Additional information :
- lost map was a tier 7, legacy, but I can't remember which one. I'm currently clearing all my legacy maps and I chain them without paying attention to the name.
- I did a legacy Cavern before, and there is still 4 portals left.
- I logged back to previous char in case the map would have returned to the inventory, but nope.
