still questioning supporter pack values...

I too find the past couple of high end supporter packs a bit lucklaster. I'm all for supporting the game, but when the best thing in the pack is a portal effect, I think ima pass. This time around its not really any better IMO. I'll likely get the $50 one just to have some extra points to spend, but I'm going to hold back on my support likely until I can buy a unique item design I think, its something I've wanted to do for while now.

Remove MF from POE, make juiced map the new MF.
I'm a little torn. I guess 45$ is fine for the lowest supporter pack.

20-25$ for a pack could be really good though. Lets say you get 200 points buying the 20-25$ pack. A new player could spend the points on a premium stash tab bundle and also get a little MTX + forum title bonus, making it a very nice starter pack.

A cheap person like me spent 200 points without supporter pack for buying tabs in beginning. Then started playing more and spending both on just points and a few packs. So I guess they made more money off me this way maybe :)

Easier to rationalize spending 20$ than 45-440 also for casual players.

Bad content in my opinion. I want to by one, but then they be released... I do not know who estimates the cost of these "things", but it's not worth they price.

UPD: OK, let's talk about current packs.

Ascendancy step-by-step supporter packs was logic: same 'things' but with better appearing by each step. Portal effect, gargoyle pet.

Now we have four completely different style sets, but seriously why in that order? I mean why Minotaur-Hydra-Chimera-Phoenix? Why not Chimera-Hydra-Phoenix-Minotaur or any else order? In my opinion each of them is equivalent.

Alright, that I can buy only lowest one - is only my financial problem. But how about give me a choice that single style set I can buy?

I mean give an option to buy not exactly pack or packs step-by-step. Give option to choise that style set or sets I can buy step-by-step. For example: for buy 3rd step supporter pack I want Chimera, Phoenix and Minotaur. Not Hydra. Or buy a 2nd step pack I want Chimera and Phoenix, Chimera and Hydra or Minotaur and Phoenix. Not exactly Minotaur and Hydra.

Sorry for my bad English, but I really want to support developers as far as I can afford it. Right now a lowest supporter pack contain style set that I don't want to get. Any other 'steps' I can't afford. So I don't by any supporter packs in this league.

Thank you for attention.

take my advice and TRY, if you don't generate the same amount of money then fine, rewert back to the original cost, no problem right?

Actually, big problem. If you sell something for a low price, it devalues those items, meaning if you try to sell them for a higher price later, fewer people will want to buy them.
Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea:

especially if the buyer doesn't really need the item.

in real life market's price competition shops can rely on people's need to permanently buy stuff (like food, cloths, goods). if that wasn't the case people could wait indefinitely for the next sale to get it cheap. like in poe's "sales".

additionally, imagine some organisations providing free services for the public (like ggg does) would try to compete against each other to get your donations: wwf and greenpeace making adverts like: "save one panda, save another one for free" or "get a second tshirt today when supporting us!".
and yes, wwf, gp and ggg are organisations which rely on people's support to provide a free service to the public.

regarding op: if 3 out of 100 people pay for playing poe (which is already a very high estimate) and causing server costs, they need to overcharge those 3.

if you had to purchase a pack to be abe to play it could be much cheaper.

Uh, what ? They already are a good value. Minotaur Pack as an example...

450 points = $45

Limited Armour set = ?/420 (You cant put a value on that but at the very minimum let use the 420 point sets as a minimum price). 420 points is an additional $42.

Limited Weapon Effect = ?/280 (Again, you cant put a value on a it, but if i were i would say minimum the Minotaur effect would cost around the Infernal effect. Its basically an "Earthquake" weapon effect). 280 points is an additional $28.

Limited Character Frame = ? (Theres nothing to compare this to because there are simply none purchasable at all).

Soundtrack = ? (Theres nothing to compare it to. If i had to give soundtracks an average price though for games id expect $5-10, thats generally how much i see them for on steam).

Total minimum value is around $120

you do realize it's 45 dollar right? the same amount you could get a really good game for right? the same amount which could give you meals for days right? the same amount you could get tons of ingame contents on another game right? 45$ is the minimum supporter pack value and even then, you only get the goods from the pack itself and another 450 points for like an armour set. again that is still bad in one way or another.
also, why would you pay 440$ for the top tier supporter pack? you could probably buy a cheap computer for that...
at this point, there are allways things done wrong with the pricing of stuff in the shop and the points themself.

so..... youre asking us about the "value"
but you compare it to what we could instead spend on

are you dumb? they are SUPPORTER packs

First of, your thread is about VALUE. I just showed you that they are more valuable than their price tag. You immediately get near exact value for the points alone buying any supporter pack which already makes it a great value.

if you want to add up all the mtx, points and art. youre well over what you actually payed for.

Yeah... that would be awesome. It costs way too much for me tho, even regular packs are quite expensive to me. :V Living in a country which has poor currency exchange rates sucks for that. Unless you are a streamer and get donations in other, better currencies... lol.

I personally think its pretty good value im just waiting to see how they balance coc before i buy. Im happy with endgame finally getting some dedicated attention.
A good quality shirt from around the world without shipping and with nice art (that sparks conversations at parties) plus supporting the most awesome and fair f2p model possible + soundtrack and all the shinies for 110$ is super good value in my book :)
