Need suggestion for claw build

Claws suck. Anything you can do with a claw you can do better with a dagger. That's what everyone says.

But, there's got to be something which you can do better with claws. Need suggestions please!

Are claws really THAT shit?
I think claws are better now than before, but not better than daggers. With assassin's ascendancy class claws have higher crit chance while daggers still sits somewhere near 100% crit chance, diamond flask was buffed which works best at 50% crit chance and effects more claws again, and lastly there are tons of jewel slots to diminish difference by little.

But claws seem to be still weaker apart from that leech. Well, actual leech difference between claws and daggers are less because of difference in damage (more damage- more % of your life recovered).

So after all, I guess there isn't really anything better than daggers, well maybe less chance to kill your self against reflect while still using vaal pact.

Somewhere i heard that there will be new skill for claws (maybe just for claws and not for daggers) which might partially solve this issue.



At least until then we can enjoy 3d art of claws :D

This is a stupid idea simply because voidheart exists, but... bleed build with two "Rive", stacking lots of int and dex and using pugilist for even more dex and damage? Assassin would be best for this with his nice dot nodes.
Or maybe a fun build around vaal skills usin "Allure", the gloves "Vaal Caress", the jewel "Vaal Sentencing" and then build dodge/evasion with the help of "Three-step Assault" and "Ascent from flesh" maybe?

Though I highly doubt either of them would be good...

There's not really a whole lot of use for claws compared to daggers, but the one edge they do have (besides situationally the implicits) is that you don't *need* to build around crit for them to work. Daggers are pretty much a crit-only thing, claws actually have just about the same non-crit dps as 1h swords with generally more-useful implicits (and passives, and a reasonable jewel focused around them), they just don't get to use some of the more strength-aligned skills. The Gemini claw implicit is actually pretty outstanding, that alone can make them worth using.



Still it would be nice to see claws able to use some new attacks that daggers can't (or to see some existing attacks taken away from daggers, frankly)

I have a claw cyclone ci trickster. It started using daggers but it just couldnt get enough leech without using bloodrage, dont have zealots, not willing to drain es constantly and just race to packs as my life pool disapears, switched to claw. Slightly less dps, hardly matters tbh, its got more than 2x as much leech and its a lot closer to having the same dps than it is to having half the dps.


you can crit cap a 5% base crit skill now days so the extra crit from a dagger is a little less important than it was, its harder to run blood rage or get any decent leech at all on a ci build now days, so claws are a little more useful than they were. Still a very niche weapon imo.

it gets about 100k dps when I stick out a war totem, lvl84 atm so by 94 well have spent another 8 points on damage, still wont outdamage a dagger version with a similar weapon. You could conc it for more but does anyone really want to play a 1h weapon conc cyclone? I feel like the radius is already abysmal for mapping. Tbh you could probably swap grace for haste, 20k evasion is excessive, but I like excessive defenses personally.

If you want more damage use a dagger, and if you want even more damage and radius do cast on crit with discharge... yeah the idea puts me to sleep now days so we went melee because if you dont choose to play the game wrong in specific ways then all youll ever end up playing is coc/mjolner discharge tbh.

Can we just delete that skill already or stop it working with triggers like these? No? Yawn....

This is what I was thinking, builds/skills which need life leach/vaal pact to work. I think that's where claws would shine.
Frost Blades is pretty awesome with the new claw Touch of Anguish. Dual-wield them and you get 2 free chains. Pretty low base aspd though for a claw, though, so I doubt it would be OP.
