[2.3](Prophecy)Scion Earthquake Build?

So after breaking my Perandus League character with the reset I decided to bury that account for now and play prophecy mainly because all my friends are.

So I wanted to play Earthquake this time around and was torn between start off characters. Since this is literally my second character I picked scion for the nature that she is in the middle ground.

It seems that this build caters to Templar or Duelist due to Ascendancy... Is this true? Am I better off picking a Duelist? honestly would rather be a female character with a two handed weapon going around tanking and DPSing with moderate clear speeds :-D
