Once and for all, Elementalist + Inc Aoe = ?

Hi, I've seen a few posts on here and on reddit saying that Elementalist's mini-prolif is not affected by AOE increases.

However, I recently made a fireball character using conc effect, and the prolif would only affect enemies literally touching the corpse of the dead ignited enemy. Then I replaced Conc with Inc Aoe and experienced much QoL increase wrt the prolif.

From my experience, then, AOE modifiers on the skill causing the proliferation DO affect the size of the aoe, and the Elementalist node is basically unuseable with conc effect for that reason (a shame, half of my damage came from double-dipping ignites with Conc).

Does anyone have any counter-evidence? I think the aoe is tied to the skill, and aoe mods affecting the skill affect the size of the prolif, too.

This makes me wonder if prolifs from something like Arc would be affected by inc aoe gem? Does the elementalist node add the AOE tag to all your skills?
