Question about 2-week race challenges*

Tala Moana Fellow Exiles, (I think that means hello in Haku language, hopefully..)
Does anyone by chance happen to know if the challenges/achievements earned in the 2 week upcoming race event will count toward the overall 40 Perandus League challenges?
