2.2 | Trapezist - Ice Trap Guide | Cheap / Friendly / Beginner HC build /SC/High Maps Viable

Hello Exiles.

First of all , let me advise the English is not my native language so my apologizes if i do a mistake.

Introduction:

This build is Cheap, safe , very funny to play and End-Game viable!
As many people know, or should know , playing in hardcore means less damage and more defense,
so i mean i focused in defensives.
Obviously this is not an excuse for anything you might think , it's just my personal opinion .
I'm currently level 91 on Perandus Hardcore League and this build have Phase Acrobatics, Elemental Overload and is based on Evasion Rating.
This build have some guear parts with cold damage crafted and its a pure cold damage ice trap version.

This build can also be played with daggers , wands and shields .
I will show several prints how is build with dagger + shield .

Pros:

Spoiler

- Fast clear speed
- Effective farming from the begining
- No reflect damage

Cons:

Spoiler

- Bearers can kill you easily
- Can’t do maps with 0 mana regen/life
- Chaos Damage hit a lot

Gear:

Gear specifies:

Instead of using the Belly of the Beast , there is another great option , which is the Lightning Coil . Personally , I prefer to use the Belly of the Beast to have more resistances and more life .
It's up to you.

Question: So alive, if you said your build is a pure cold ice trap build why dafuq you don't use cold penetration instead of increased area of effect?

Answer: It's simple: The damage is enough to kill all mobs with 1 trap and you with IAoE you have more survivability and you kill 2x more fast because you have a highest area of effect. But obviously this is my person choice.
It's up to you.

Bandits:

Spoiler

Merciless: Help Kraytin for Frenzy Charge

Hi man.
I do not use both at the same time.
I use Temporal Chains in party and Enfeeble solo most of the times :)

Unfortunately I died today testing the map hall of grandmasters promenade map
I recommended to not do that map, because Spark's, Arc's , Aurora's shields hit's a lot!

New Videos Added's

Thanks for posting this guide! I'm going to try this out as my first Hardcore build. Do you have any tips for leveling? Should I just go Ice Trap from the start, or use a different skill setup first?

Hello man .
Thanks for the feedback and good luck in your build. You'll see that you'll like .
First, the ice trap is just for level 28.
Until then , I advise using Ice Nova(act1) , freezing pulse(act1) , Lightning Tendrils(act 1, 2 and 3) and Blade Vortex (act 2 and 3) . You can also use Fire Trap on first act, but it can be a bit weak.

Is there any set up you would recommend before unlocking Ice Trap?

The Lifesprig drifwood wand is good to rush you to act 3 normal. After that you choose Between dagger or wand
I used wand and staff to get level 70's and then i decide using a dagger because i really like Whirling blades.
Basicly you want use what give's you more damage at the begining.
One good shield to use until lvl 40 is the Crest of Perandus, cheap and nice.

The stats you really want to see in your weapons is spell damage and cold damage if possible.
