Insane lag while moving

Hi!

Just recently got into PoE. Have a pretty highend PC with GTX 980.
But what might be a huge turnoff with this game is that once you made a character,
and when moving around the character, its stuttering like hell. The game grapchis
is very smooth and fluid, but only when moving the character is really awefull.

I live in scandinavia, and chose the server in Paris with 45ms.

This is the only game I've played with such awefull stuttering/rubberbanding.

Is this temporary or is it how the game is all the way?

My connection is also very stable.

"my connection is stable".

Let the numbers talk. Post a trace.

You can be stable to one site and have a crappy connection to another. Europe gateway seems to be the cause of many of the complaints about lag and connectivity. Be sure you're testing that site when you run the trace.

What I'm trying to tell you...is that my internett connection is fine in my house.
there is nothing wrong with my router, nor my isp!

Ofcourse, its common knowledge that a site can have a crappy connection, and another one can be stable.
Is that rocket science ? I THINK NOT!

Ok... why the hostility? Seriously. If you want to help the problem, post a trace. They can use that information.

Just found out what the problem was, now I can play the game! :)

Checking every option and messing around guess helped out. But the "Networking Mode" was set to auto,
changed it to Predictive made the game smooth to play. Why on earth I didnt check this before is beyond my comprehension.

Anyway, when something is set to "auto" you do believe is ok right? Glad finally can play the game :)
Same thing but did a MTR for you, look like telstra has a problem.

Bytemare77, can you confirm now no issues left? My guess is you changed from Auto (possibly Lockstep) to Predictive. Predictive in past was unseen lag (desync) compared to visually detectable stutter with Lockstep. I'd expect you have a lot of desync now, is that the case?
