Can't enter the Cavern of Anger

I've been trying to enter the Cavern of Anger and kill Merveil, but the game shuts down every time I try to go in. To be specific, the game stops on the page that comes up whenever we move to another map, and a message pops up saying that PathofExile.exe has stopped. So I'm probably being cut off or disconnecting in the midst of moving to the Cavern of Anger.

I asked for help/advice on the global chat, and someone told me that it could be the problem of not having enough RAM. He/she used to have 4GB RAM, and because of that, he/she was often cut off from the game in the middle of moving to another map. I have 4GB RAM at the moment, so it would make sense.

But the thing is, I don't get disconnected when entering any other maps. Also, I'm not lagging bad or something. It's only the Cavern of Anger that I can't enter. I had started this game a few years ago and I've experienced similar problems(the game shutting down whenever I move to another map). But that was when I played on my laptop. Now I'm playing on a proper computer. And back then, I was able to enter the map by relogging in. Today, I've tried to get into the Cavern like twenty times, and the game shuts down every time. Since I can't go in and kill Merveil, I can't move onto Act 2 or any other quests.

Is there anyone else experiencing same problem? And if you think you know the solution to this problem, please share it with me. I would like to try everything possible before uninstalling the game and redownloading it.

Thank you :)

what is your operating system (which version of windows including if its a 32 or 64 bit version)

You can run the game fine on 4 gig but if you have a 32 bit system you don't have access to all of the ram
Also the older the OS the less ram it takes to run the PC (XP took 500mb or there abouts and win 7 takes 1.5 gig) you then need to add the game on top of that and anything else you may be running
Ancestral Bond. It's a thing that does stuff. -Vipermagi

He who controls the pants controls the galaxy. - Rick & Morty S3E1
I'm running it on Windows 7, and it's 32 bit version.
Ahh, I see! That's... a bad news for me isn't it xD Also, I'm living in Korea. Maybe that's related too?
So uninstalling my game and redownloading it won't help...

Thank you so much for the reply! I don't think I can change my computer... If there is anything you can suggest me to do, please tell me! Thank you >_<

Maybe one of your game files has got corrupted, have you tried this? - https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/18531
Also check this from Rory.

This part helped me a lot to reduce crashes during zone transitions. I did all of the things listed. It reduced the crashes by more than half.

Some areas always crash when loading (Eg: Chamber of Sins, Lunaris Temple Level 3)

This is often caused by your computer running out of RAM, or a corrupted packfile. See the solutions directly below.

I get an error message and a crash after playing the game for a while.

EOUTOFMEMORY or Unable to Map File or Unable to MapViewOfFile
This usually occurs when your game file runs out of ram, common on PCs with low ram or running 32bit versions of windows. Running the game with Texture Quality set to Medium usually fixes this, though having less than 4gb of ram will cause problems after changing areas a number of times. We will improve the memory recovery system in future.
You can also reduce the rate of these crashes slightly by adding -gc 2 to the end of your Path of Exile shortcut target, as shown here:

qKEQZuO

If you are still having frequent crashes, you can turn your Texture Quality down even further by manually editing the production_Config.ini file. You can find this file in your Documents/My Games/Path of Exile folder. If you find the line texture_quality=1 and change the number to 2, you'll reduce the texture quality even further. Note that this may make it much harder to see some enemy spell effects.

Note: The qKEQZuO is supposed to be an image. You'll have to refer to the original post to see it.

Like Randall pointed out there is a very slim possibility it's a corrupted file, and it's easy enough to check.

But in your case win 7 x32 and 4 gig of ram....you would be borderline running out of ram most areas.

4 gig installed
minus 500mb give or take because it's the 32 bit version
minus 1.5 gig for windows and other programs running(AV etc) it may be more.
PoE requires 2 gig to itself, so you would be cutting it fine .

You may have luck doing a few things
Lowering texture quality to medium or lower(through the .ini file)
using the -gc 2 command line

Other thing to try...which is likely to have the biggest impact would be the 3gb switch(google it)

But really the biggest thing you could do is to get hold of a 64 bit OS
