Top-tier str armor

Hey!

Was wondering what makes an armor a top tier armor?

I just found an armor that had 877 armour on it,It required level 59. Is this armnor amount uncommonly high and would it justify spending jewellers and fusings on ?

Alright, thanks! I didnt know what amounts of armor become standard in end game. Good to know the armour stat isnt the primary focus in looking for the top tier armors.

I have been wearing this one for some time and to great satisfaction, traded it for a grey lvl 55 5 socket evasion armor:



Its been alright so far but i've been stretching its use already and i dont think it will be as good in the levels to come. (the item level was 40-ish)
