Elemental damage and Mines/Traps

Hey,

simple question since the wiki was not clear about it.

If i link a Trap or a Mine Gem with a spell, lets say Ice Nova,
does the explosion get affected by any passive skill nodes from my tree (like elemental damage, spell damage) or not?

Im asking because its the mine casting the skill not myself.

Also how does "global crit chance" on gear and such factor into this, does this boost mine crit chance aswell?

Remote skills (traps, mines and totems) use all your offensive stats. Anything that affects your damage applies, including everything you mentioned, as well as power and frenzy charges, auras and Heralds, etc.
