[2.4] COLB (Cast On Last Breath) tanky, high dps, can use any spells you want

yes.. this is nice, i think also flametotem, or all the usual stuff can work quite well

How much Cast Speed you will need to be able to cast Lighning Warp 3+ times per second?

well... in order to cast 3 itmes a sec ill need 200% faster casting, which is hard to reach.
but even with scold reduced cast speed duration, thx to the 2 apepes, and wrap time piece, if ill use:

20/20 lightning warp + 20/20 less duration + 20/20 faster casting + lvl 1 blood magic
with 4 jewels ill get :
33 mana cist *1.2 *1.2 *2.45 = 116.5 * 5.8 (4 jewels and 2 apepes) = 675 mana cost.
this will let me activate lvl 17 (instead of 16) cwdt, and upgrade the other gems as well.

as for cast speed 60% from dual apeps + warped timepiece 12% - 15% from scolds + 49% from 20/20 cast speed gem + 20% from lightning warp 20% quality = 60 + 12 - 15 + 49 +20 = 126% faster cast speed
edit: forgot about scion berserker 25% cast speed if taken savage hit recently!
so that will be usually 126% +25% = 151%! much better

i can get some more on rings .. but lets stay with just that:
my cast speed will be 1/2.51 = 0.39 sec, so 2.5 casts per sec.

and also have 5% on tree...
with rings and some more nodes on tree (with 6 nodes i can get extra 21% and can get jewel with another 5%, so the total will be 151% + 31% = 182% very close to our 3 casts per sec!
so my cast speed will be 1/2.82 = 0.35 casts per sec!

not as good as cyclone (if you press close by), lets sum up por/cons:

+ you have much higher spell damage thx to apepes effecting all your spells! (and higher lvl of spells thx to cwdt lvl 17 and not 16)
+ you will move much quicker on map
+ you wont get stuck in wierd obsticales /terrain
+ your LW itself will also do some very nice damage
+ if ull be able to enchant scolds with 20% reduce lw duration, you will have god speed i think
+ will look much cooler and unique! (not like now that its seem close to cyclone COC)
- a bit less life (no shield and no life on amulet)
- wont use bladevortex, not sure about spark (but can use magma orbs and storm calls insted which can be op)
- less casts per sec (but really only if you press close by) (can get pretty damn close though)
- you will take a bit more damage (and heal ofcourse) from each cast (2700~ damage taken instead of 2400)

i think it worth the try no?

I'm curious about this build, just not sure how likely I am to find a Bitter Dream with the right corruption. Any idea's or suggestions on how to make up for the loss there? I was thinking about using some more Jewels, but the lower base cost is hard to make up.

Yes, now Ii see - could be a good idea for fast runs.

Still Cyclone will be better on boss fight.

As whole, looks like funny build ( for those non on potato PC) BUU-U-UT,

I don't see how it can be played vs hard hitting bosses. (Both variants Cyclone and LW)
IF any hit downs you under cost of 1 cast = insta death. (And this will happen frequntly with IC and armor)

If only this could be build on ES base...

you can always search for other corruptions...also bitterdream is cheap as hell, buy some and try your luck.
or add some more jewels, i think 2 will be enough..
also you can just decide you will use a bit lower lvl of cwdt if you take a bit less dmg from mana cost, or use higher cwdt and try to activate it every other cyclone, try to min/max that for yourself

what hard hitting bosses do you refer to?
atm i have 7.5K life (lvl 89) and can reach 8K life... i need to get hit for 6000 damage in order to kill myself, and that not happpening alot, and i guess same hit will kill 90% of players (who have ~5K life)
also i can just stay a bit away from the bosses, easily because i move + cast far away spells all the time, no really need to get close and personal :)
