Dual-wielding witch?
I just made a witch and I'm trying to decide bewtween two wands for more DPS or a wand and a shield for survivability. Does anyone have recommendations?

I'm currently 45 ice witch double wand and I gotta say, it works amazing. +Spell dmg always nice.
However I love playing very agressive, so this build might not fit everyone. Try both, if you like one better, then go for it. But you shoud not take dual wield points in passive tree - not worth it. Wild dumb polack appears!

the dual wands stack the damage instead of adding the two together for a spell damage bonus (at least from what ive seen) so instead of having 2 wands that give you 15% bonuses that give you this:
100x1.3=130 you get this: 100x1.15=115 >>> 115x1.15=132.25 i dont know if anyone else has this but it works this way for my witch. Diviner's Strongbox: An Exile's CCG

Old post but I was very interested in running a Dual-Wielding Witch :)
What I was thinking... *Dual wield wands *Buff fire damage *Buff critical hit & critical damage *Buff ES and take CI What is the best way of taking this 111 point build and knocking it down to the 60 - 70 point range??? I'm assuming that if you critical hit a target and they burn, its going to be critical damage with each tick of burn... or am I wrong on this? Can a Witch survive without minion meatshields? Would it make sense to dump points into critical hits? Wand is considered a melee weapon or is it buffed by spell damage? Should I be spending more points on mana? Should I be spending more points on ES? Is physical damage important enough to dump points to get Elder Power? Would I have an easier time just using one wand and going with a shield? Better to do a critical burn or critical lightning? Besides burn being single target and lighnting being multible targets... I welcome any and all comments, hints, suggestions, feedback and any help. Thanks!!! |
