[Fix] Slow motion movements
Hi,
I've experienced a very weird bug recently which was happening in different games: PoE and terraria. My game is running at 170 FPS everything maxed on 1920x1200 (60 with Vsync) Here are my specs: i7 920 @ 4.15Ghz 24 Gb DDR3 @ 1600Mhz Radeon HD 7950 @ 1000/1250Mhz Here are what I've tried: -Clean uninstall graphics driver (driverSweeper) and install last stable release -Run as administrator -Run in compability mode -Run with suffix «-nosound» -Close all running apps -Modified every possible ingame graphics options -Restarted the game many times -Restarted the computer many times -Prayed -Made sure my computer was on «high-performance» settings (in power management settings) -Restarted my router None of them work. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= HERE ARE THE SOLUTIONS Solution 1: Fix(repair) .NET Framework installation (it might be corrupted) http://www.microsoft.com/net Solution 2: Start a command prompt and run this command: bcdedit /set {current} useplatformclock Yes -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Hope that helped. The problem came back and I have no solution, my past fix isn't working anymore. Does anyone have a fix?

You could try moving Client.exe and Content.ggpk to a new folder and installing it fresh that way. If it works, you'd know it was something in the old program folder (perhaps a bugged dll overriding your current .NET or something).
Did you have two graphics cards? http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/105676 Last edited by ionface#0613 on Feb 26, 2013, 10:15:02 PM

Thank you for your suggestion ionFace.
Sadly, it didn't work. As you can see on my first post, I'm running on a single HD7950. Anyone encountered this problem? |

Have the latest Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 and Windows Service Pack?

It actually sounds like the simulation time step is incorrect -- this would explain why the sampling (represented as your "fps") is normal.
1) What operating system are you running? 2) Is there any jitter in the rendering; are the animations played smoothly? 3) Are there any other display anomalies? Also, it appears you've overclocked your processor considerably and most likely beyond the design threshold. Consider reverting this, it's quite possible this is causing problems. P.S., PoE is a native executable and thus .NET is irrelevant. Correlation vs causation. "The problem is there ARE secure netcodes" -- Pewzor Last edited by Emjayen#1133 on Mar 1, 2013, 9:58:37 PM

I know exactly what you are experiencing, because I have it too :/ Every couple days, when I log in, the game feels like it is running in slow motion. As previous posters, I have a good gear: MSI GT70 0NE with i7 and NV GTX680m, everything maxed out, full smoothness. Very frustrating bug. Leveling in this mode takes forever :/

Sounds to me like your video card or PC is throttling itself for some reason.

There is no way for throttling. Frame rate is so high... And this game is not so demanding for system resources, so there is not much heat during gameplay. Everything runs perfect but it looks like it it slowed down, at half speed of gameplay. Something like you could have accidetly typed some cheat for half speed of gameplay.
