Berserk - sword concept

The idea aims for a 2H slashing heavy weapon able to break through ennemies with the cost of defences. It also aims to give marauder another path than the "mandatory" rezolute tehnique by inheritly high crit chance alowing to employ a crit based melee built. It also aims for some sort of pasive-triggered-active defence mechanism like erangeing or not feeling pain during combat. Atm i comed up with "enrages on low life".

Here it is as for now. And i`d appreciate any usefull ideas comments:

Physical Damage: (238–272 to 399–456)
Critical Strike Chance: 14%
Attacks per Second: 1.25

*Enrages on low life - gain 30% attack speed, 60% more physical damage, 10% life steal which disipates over 10 seconds. Extra gore. Cooldown 40 seconds.



I don`t know if it is under or overpowered atm.
I`m also considering another defensive mechanism instead of enrage: Taking sustained damage over a short period of time enters berserker`s stance: 10% more life, 10% reduced phisical, 10% all rez, 5% all max rez + Berserker aspect (bear-skin like).

PS The idea comes form a real type of sword with both tactical and strategical purpose, not so widely known, and the "Berserk" label just fits the concept. It was used by special formations to quickly break ennemy lines and allow frontline breaches for regular troops and cavalry to exploit, thus the strategical use.

I know exactly how it should look, i just don`t have the skills to paint it. So if anyone could help with this i`d appreciate it. Please contact me as googleing for it leads to a lot of fakes.

It looks a bit too much of a sacrifice imo. maybe some other kind of debuff, like 20% chance to gain corrupting blood charge per hit. Or just reduce gain and loss extremes.

with all that chaos res looks more like a low life ES build than anything else


i would go for a more simple thing
