Any plans for the Cutthroat Event any time soon?

With the new post v2.1 stuff in the game, I'd like to ask if there is any Cutthroat event planned for any time soon?

I think that it would be nice to have one because:

1. new skills -> new meta -> new fun :)
2. some valuable data and statistics could be gathered by GGG in terms of balance of pvp in general
3. the last Cuttroat event was more than 6 month ago

Your thoughts?

I'm also curious about this as I've always missed the previous ones.

Cutthroat has always been a train-wreck though.

I remember the last version, people just suiciding against one another to lvl up gems to 20 and then go rampage on the lower levels.....

I had a giggle, but given how its bug-invested i couldn't really take the whole thing serious.

the competition also died off after day 3 and the leaderboards where pretty much "settled" and that was only further exaggerated by the bugs allowing advantages to the people discovering them.

I would like to see it work, but they seriously have to tighten the lvl gaps and if they do that, then a lot of participation is required to make it an actual fun event instead of a ghost-town.

Fact there is no real solution for "mapping" in cutthroat also doesn't help.
