Shock Nova + Chance to Ignite bugged?

I had linked shock nova and the chance to ignite support gem in my wand, and NEVER saw any fire damage given after using it as my main skill for 2+ zones.
There certainly was no burning animation anyway. I cannot say for certain no fire damage was taken by mobs, but I do not believe so. In Wraeclast, if someone tries to kill you... you just kill them right back.

you need fire damage. the support only works if you have any fire damage which can cause ignite. will need add fire damage first and then chance to ignite.
how can lightning damage ignite itself ? :P i got my beta key from Icoblablubb - vielen danke !!!

If you don't do mostly fire damage then it's not a very good support (burning damage is only drawn from the fire damage)
If you do no fire damage, then it's completely wasted. IGN: Jerk, Princess

You should check the mechanics thread. It says that Ignite does 133% of the initial fire damage that caused it, over a period of 4 seconds. 133% of 0 fire damage is 0.
