Punishment won't give the "more dmg" buff while using it with Blasphemy

i use punishment and tried to link it with blasphemy gem, and while the monsters get the debuff(curse) effect on them, they dont give me the "more damage" buff when i hit them (with cyclone which is my attack skill). Btw i also checked the tooltip dmg on cyclone and it stays the same after i hit monsters with the curse on them so its not just a matter of the buff icon not appearing, it doesnt give me damage. when i unequipe blasphemy gem and cast punishment manualy, it works fine)

Your wording there is wrong, YOU need to be hit by the monsters for the buff to apply, NOT you hit monsters....could just be that cyclone is killing them quickly enough that they are not hitting you.
