Tank Build help a noob!

Hey guyz

First of all I am a newb. What is better for tanking, a Marauder or a Templar? (My Marauder is lvl 28 atm).
I am looking online for some guides for tanking, but I haven't find anything very good.
From my understanding life and life on hit seems to be better than armor.....therefore Marauder seems to be a better choice.

Sorry I don't have time to play or study builds that much, I am looking for a strength base tank, I don't really care about damage output, I rather not use magic gems.

I am not looking for an OP build either.... I would link my build but i got no idea how to...I got Resolute Technique, and Blood Magic so far, and heading towards unwavering stance (is it good?) . Now I kind of stop playing to study builds, but as I said I haven't find a good one.

I don't mind restarting with another class, any help with build welcome!
