Locations of Large Chests in Descent Race

Hi Community,

I am doing the Descent Race for quite a time now. In order to hit lvl 30 in the end it helps to look for "Large Chests". The areas around "Large Chests" often contain one or more packs of magic monsters.

I have done this race many times but haven't found all of the Large Chests. Since I couldn't find any information about those I try to find the answers here. If the locations are written down somewhere else please let me (and the community) know about it.

You can find a list of all Descent areas below containing the locations of the Large Chests. I couldn't find one in every area so far. Maybe not all areas contain a chest.

I would appreciated if we could complete the table together.

The Phrecia Outskirts
- close to the rocks or close to the waterfront

The Heart of Phrecia
- (no chest found so far)

The Lost Cathedral
- (no chest found so far)

The Mortal Tomb
- down left or up rioght

The Arachnid Tomb
- bottom right (contributed by janimauk)

The Tomb of Statues
- far north west (contributed by feelgewd)

The Frozen Abyss
- far right (contributed by janimauk)

The Simian Cave
- bottom left (contributed by janimauk & Fightgarr)

The Skeletal Caverns
- probably a chest (contributed by Fightgarr)

The Forbidden Ruins
- sometimes up right
- up right (contributed by feelgewd)

The Vault of the Guardians
- (no chest found so far)

The Hall of Heroes
- up left behind the second exile
- lots of blue sea witches

The Desecrated Shrine
- up right after a long straight way (not worth imo)

The Demonic Shrine
- (no chest found so far, probably no chest)

The Infernal Shrine
- (no chest found so far, probably no chest)

good information, they do indeed contain one or even multiple packs of blue packs. i'd say if the information are accurate as they are (i do them my self too) , it's all worthy it to look around for the extra experiences

The tomb of statues i found far north west from the last time i've did Descent (no blue packs)

forbidden ruins is that the area with discharges? if so.. i found one in far east with 2 blue packs inside

I've had one in either the monkey or skeleton zone, can't remember exactly

arachnid chest bottom right, merveil zone far right, simian cave bottom left
