Vaal'd maps

I vaal'd some of my maps today to run them later on I started to run a few & no vaal gem or sac piece dropped. I thought it was my bad luck, but after doing over 8 maps in a row and having the same problem, i'm wondering if this is a new update or there is an issue arising
