New unique belt

I just had an interesting idea for a New unique belt. Might be rubbish or actually really fun.

The concept is that in Order to make use of it, you are forced to corrupt every Single piece of gear.

I was thinkig of such Stats:

-50% to all max Res
+2% to 3% to all max Res per active White Socket
0.2% of elemental damage leeched as live per active White Socket

Just a raw draft but i really like the concept of it ^^ also the concept of risc/reward and rng is, as i guess nicely in line with this game.

What do you guys think of that idea?

Edit missread the penalty.
-50% to MAX resistances.

You can have 24 sockets (+2 with Unset Rings).
Which means you get 24 * 2 (+2 * 2) = 48 (52) extra maximum resistances.
48 - 50 = -2, so you actually loose maximum resistances when everything is white and you wear that belt.
(Or you get +2 which is for that cost okay I think.)


24 * 3 (+2 * 3) = 72 (78)
72 - 50 = +22, or +28 if you use Unset Rings. Yes, the costs are extreme to get everything white but you are immune to elemental damage, add Lightning Coil, Taste Of Hate or that warband helmet modifiert and the converted damage is actually nullified.
Righteous Fire is for free.
Elemental Reflection is a free mod no matter how much elemental damage you inflict.


You also get 24 (26) * 0,2% = 4,8% (5,2%) life leech.


So probably: no, you won't get that.

Make it -10% to all max resists and +1% to all max resists per white socket and it might be more realistic.

Getting 6 white sockets on an item is extremely unlikely (kind of like getting 6 sockets with a Jeweller or 6linked with a Fusing). Search for items with 4+ white sockets on poe.trade...

In any case, I would not use it unless I wanted to make a very very very specific build that was immune to elemental damage (which BTW is already possible).
