Bought a new phone service today

So this seemed really odd. I was buying a new phone and service through Republic Wireless. But there was a mandatory field on the purchase page: contact phone number...
So i need a phone to buy a phone? Imagine if i went to buy a tank of gas and the clerk demanded i already have a full tank of gas before i could be allowed to fuel my car. Crazy crazy world we live in. For years i searched for deep truths. A thousand revelations. At the very edge...the ability to think itself dissolves away.Thinking in human language is the problem. for fun, when anyone asks for my mobile number, I tell them I don't have a cell phone. the looks I get are so worth it.

Everything requires phone numbers nowadays, especially in the U.S. We're getting so big brother right now it's ridiculous.
Also, No Cellphone club 4lyfe. Not my real account anymore, use it for forums while I work
