Will my flame totem suffer from -30% less damage and cast speed from the rank 14 spell totem modifier?

Will my flame totem be replaced by a spell totem(less life)?


Or will flame totem simply not get affected and I get +50% totem life, spell damage and +1 totem at no penalty(outside of the curse effect)?

Flame Totem won't be affected. It can't be supported by Spell Totem because it's already a totem, so it is just completely ignored.

oh great, that makes it an excellent DPS increase then.

You will get the bonuses but not the penalties as it is not supported by the support gem.

You will still get self cursed mind every time you recast(4 curses at a time) but there is a unique jewel that gives bonus damage for every curse.
