Vaal's Pact and Zealot's Oath

Hello, I had a question on these abilities. Currently i was working towards Vaal's pact (instant life leech, you cannot regen life) and had a problem. I had spent quite a few points already on Life Regen (before i decided to go Vaal's pact). My question is: If i take Zealot's Oath (life regen applies to ES) would it work with Vaal's pact? Or will the "no life regen" restrictor render this useless? Thanks! poe.xyz.is - there's your auction house.

not really sure on the details, but by guessing id assume the life leech would apply to your energy shield.
