Question about some RTS games

Hi, does anyone know if OFFICIAL Age of Empires III and/or Warhammer 40k dwan of war servers are still running? or the only way to play them multiplayer are some fan servers/hamachi/somethingelse.

Last time I checked AoE3 it was pretty dead. AoE2 should be pretty alive though.
