Can't pick up articles

Many months I hadn't played. Restarted to find I can't pick up articles from of ground or from the chests. Is there something I've forgotten, or is it a bug? Abilard

Check your options in the UI tab and uncheck the Key Pickup option. Or hold down alt when you want to pick something up.

Thanks, alt works fine,in UI key pick-up bound F works too, but I disabled function and pick up now works well.
