Simple Question -- I hope...

I have a weapon that causes bleeding, can I include "bloodlust" as one of the gems in my weapon sockets and benefit from the added damage?

If the answer is no -- please explain...

On the gem itself it clearly states: Cannot cause Bleeding

So my thinking is, my weapon causes the bleeding and the gem adds to the bleeding damage.

But I'm from out of town, so what do I know...

The weapon causes bleeding on hit, but in order to hit you have to use a skill, unless you use your basic attack first.

If you have a skill linked with BL it won't proc the weapon bleed. Is what I'm thinking.
The gem clearly states that hits made with the skill it is linked to cannot cause bleeding. So, if you link it to your main skill you will need to cause bleeding with one that doesn't have bloodlust linked to it, leap slam is the common choice.

It wasn't a guess, that's the way it works.
