"Energy from Within Unique Jewel" Bug

Hi everyone!

Unique Jewel "Energy from Within"

I think there is a bug with "Increases and Reductions to life in Radius are transformed to apply to Energy Shield at 50% of their value"

Under the Melding Hybrid Energy Shield + Life nodes
There are 3 nodes 3% increased maximum life + 5% increased maximum energy shield

Iam getting 6% increased maximum energy shield instead of 6,5% so i think it reduces the amount i should be getting by 1,5% in total!

3 * 0.5 = 1.5, and as with ~every other stat the game rounds down, to 1% in this case.
1,5 + 5 = 6,5% not 6%

So why the game makes it 6%??

Because there is no 6.5%. There is no 6.4%. Or 6.3% or 6.2% or 6.1% or 6.6% or 6.7% or 6.8% or 6.9%. In every one of those cases, it will get rounded down to 6%.

OK you tell me that there arent such nodes and i get it!I ask why????

Then the jewel math is wrong!


which means that jewel mod about 50% of their value is not correct in this case!

So iam loosing a total of 1,5% for all three nodes which doesnt make any sense at all!


the game round down at alot of aspects, thats just the way it is... get over it

can you give me an example of other aspects that it rounds down?

Iam not mad or something i just thought it was a bug!

And also the fact that the game does that does not mean it's correct..
Aura/Buff Effect rounds down (24% Increased Effect on 4% Max Res = 4% Max Res).
Damage rounds down (10% Inc Damage on 1-4 Damage Flame Totem = 1-4 Damage).
Mana Cost/Reservation reduction rounds down (2% reduction on 25% Reserved = 0 reduction).
Life/Mana rounds down (1% Inc Life on 50 Life = 50 Life).
Every value on Gems rounds down (0.75 X per Quality = 0 X at 1% Q).

Decimal values are ignored (effectively rounding down) when using the division method often called 'integer division'. It's working as intended.

the example with max resistances is the best!

I havent seen anyone with 81,3% max fire res for example
