Shield Charge

Any update on this?

Definitely the dead zone thing makes it tedious to use as a quick reposition tool and of course general movement.

Gets annoying that most of the time it just slams instead because whether you click too close or there's a small pebble in the way, it almost feels like it's getting worse every league especially with movement's increasing importance to dodge all the effects happening on screen.

Can we bring the charge in "shield charge" pls, I thought shield crush was the one meant to be the shield slam.
SC frequently gets stuck while pathing on corners, pebbles, 1mm elevation diff, etc., and infrequently on thin air, charging in-place (requiring a relog).



This is what I'm frustrated by atm:
"Always attack without moving" should be just that.
This toggle does not make you attack-in-place.
I know there's precedence for other movement skills to coopt the toggle to change behaviour beyond attack-in-place, e.g. dash where it reverses the direction, but honestly, I can't tell a difference between it being toggled and not, so if the behaviour is so subtle, does it really require a discrete toggle?

a) you dash into a bonk
b) you bonk

With the toggle on/off, holding shift does not induce (b), which is counter-intuitive and counter to established behaviour for holding shift. The only thing that seems to determine whether you charge or you swipe is the distance the cursor is from your character, which is really not a good, nor consistently controllable mechanism, particularly when trying to navigate corridors and indoor maps. At least some portion of the "why am I stuck on this nothing" is due to the cursor being too close to the character.

Shield charge already has an attack speed penalty for solely attacking in place, so it's not as though that would be game-breaking, surely.
