Need to Improve the Targeting System

people say this game has some clunky combats, and one of the big reasons is the targeting system in POE. While i don't find much of a problem playing solo, but playing in group when there are tons of flashes on screen, stuff gets really crazy and causes you to not hit the correct targets. If someone in the party brings minions, it is becoming especially tedious to even click on the monsters because all those skeletons and zombies are getting in your way. since the summoned skeletons and the enemy skeletons are almost exactly identical, you are unable to tell where the enemies are at, and you just start randomly clicking on the screen not attacking because you're clicking on an ally.

they need to make summons unable to be targeted to help reduce the clutter on the screen. there's no spell nor buff in the game that specifically targets your own summons or converted minions, so why bother to even have their names on the targeting system?

I completely agree with you, it's horrible to play with someone using lots of minions
I have a summoner and I agree with you.
But remember, when you see too many minions to target anything, it's usually pretty safe for you!
I use arc on my summoner so I do not have to bother with properly targeting monsters. This is not the only reason I use it but it is a big plus.
