Minor oddities with my healthbar

Greetings,

for starters my current char has the keystones Zealot's Oat and Ancestral Bond, auras run are Discipline and Clarity and there are two things i'd like to gain insight in:

1. Life gain on kill only seems to proc once in a blue moon. The killing is done by my flame totems, yet i can't seem to find a pattern in when a slain enemy grants me health and when not.

2. Ever since i picked up Zealot's Oat when i drink from a health flask it won't restore my full health but stop 5-10 points before that. Seems like a rounding error to me, yet i wanted to hear your thoughts first.


If anybody could shed some light on these minor issues, i'd appreciate it.


Totems are separate entities from you. If they kill an enemy, their on-Kill effects trigger, not yours.

However, enemies that die to Damage over Time always assign kill credit to the player, to prevent lootbugs (Totem dies, Ignite kills afterwards -> no loot). That is why you occasionally see your own on-Kill effects triggering.
