[Malachai] This is not a MMO.......

20 minute boss fights were you do more dancing than shooting is seriously not the way to go for an ARPG...

the fight is a pointless dance to dodge all of the probably 8 - 10 effects that he does while dps-ing him.

Stun makes dancing frustrating.

It's a poorly executed chapter of the game.

I agree. Even only the 2nd time fighting him, it already feels like a chore. Way too long of a fight >.<

I am glad to hear that I'm not the only one playing ARPGs who prefers the swift gratification of slaughtering hordes of weak enemies over the dance choreography of extended bossfights; The latter being something that can be fun in MMORPGs due to the focus on coordination of multiple players, but is tiresome when playing single-player.
i don't see why an arpg shouldn't have bosses like this.
in fact i would love more of them.

ill take bosses where i have to dance for a win over bosses i just facetank anyday
Maybe people wouldn't hate these dragged out boss fights if they gave you more than 1 or 2 rares and felt rewarding.

To me, the malachai fight serves nothing but game progression (duh), doesn't feel rewarding at all and isn't fun. It just made me think "Wow, i have to do this again in cruel :/".

There can be some dance elements, but this fight is taking it to the extreme
good dance -> vaal smash
bad dance -> running in circles, dodging malachai's spam

If only the area was a tad bigger.
If only there wasn't so much shit going on at the same time, making your FPS Drop constantly.
If only he didn't teleport constantly making him an even more tedious boss than he already is.
If only he had reasonable health.

He's such a good example of what a Boss fight SHOULDN'T be.
Sure he looks cool and all, but he's a long and boring fucking fight that takes centuries for any non-cheesers.

I tried against him as melee, never fucking again.
I basically ran more than actually fight a boss.
What's the point in a boss designed in such a way, not to mention he have so much shit going on at the same time that FPS Drop sort of can't be avoided.

What I see NOBODY have brought up, is how impossible the new bosses are for ES builds.
Constant damage, making regening your ES pretty much impossible.

Whoever designed all this shit, forgot CI is a thing.
