What's the point of lockstep?
or how is it actually supposed to work?!
I got a ping of 32-48, and when fighting enemies my game is locked (!) pretty much every half second, for a half second or more. that on a gaming grade laptop, so that's not the problem. cable internet via wlan if that's important. there's some ping variation over time (I can tell in LoL, but not at all in this game normally), but that should not affect the performance THIS hard so that is how it is intended to be? the name lock-step does very much suggest this! locked game after every step you take...? I'd very much rather have desynch than this mess since I have no hope for significant game design improvements in this game I am officially done with Path of Exile. done for good Last edited by LMTR14#6725 on Jul 17, 2015, 2:55:12 PM

" The better question is why are you asking this question when there are literally several dedicated posts about lockstep available for you to read all over the place. Don't attack people trying to help you when you ask a question like in your OP that is easy to figure out by yourself. Last edited by whitelytning#4298 on Jul 17, 2015, 2:58:12 PM

if you have a low ping and consistent packet loss at intervals then the first thing you should do is reset your local hardware (hub, cable modem, whatever you have). If that doesn't fix it, there are any number of things between you and your provider and from your provider to the server that could be causing the issue.
