Orb of Scouring + Gem

I made a mistake last night with this recipe, seems like it could use some love.

Before anyone makes any smartass replies, unless you name is in gold... shutup.

I placed my Clarity gem in the window with 7 Scourings and all I got back was the gem, it would be nice if the recipe returned the excess orbs and the gem. I dont expect anything to be returned, nor do I really have any need for 6 orbs of scouring, just wanted to make the suggestion that this be looked at.
