Question:

The Vertex mask has MORE ES & a higher ES% (94% vs 253% ES!), so how is it that I only get 197 more energy shield? 4287 es w hubris, 4484 w vertex)?

The % ES mod is local - it applies only to the base ES of the item it's on. All you're getting here is a 41 increase in your total base ES.

Click on your character's name in the upper left.
This will pull up a screen of your toons.
Select the toon or stash tab with the items you want to link.
Click on the item. This will automatically paste in the board code you need. After you exit, you will see them.

yeah, the 253% increased ES is already included in that 291 ES the vertex has in total. that 291 is then multiplied by your your passive trees es% increase and es% increase from intelligence
