Need technical help with GPU

My old video card broke. It was GeForce 6600GT and I think it was PCI-e x16 (1.0)

I'm only guessing that because my computer is old and crappy.

I can afford the GeForce GTS 250, and although it's 2.0, I think it will fit my older bus.

Will this work?

My Question is do you have a power supply that will support it...

As to will it work, the pinout is the same, but 2.0 is double the speed, so you would be running the card crippled. Better off buying another 1.0 card. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814129091

Ideally a new system would be in order it sounds like, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
