Splash damage from Forked lightning arrow?

LA causes splash dmg to 3 nearby montsters.

arrows can only hit 1 monster per volley.

lets say u have 4 monsters.
LA hits monster #1 and does splash dmg to #2-4.

Forked LA hits monster #2. Does it also do splash dmg to monsters #3+4 since the original arrow already did splash dmg to #3+4?
Yes. It works exactly like that. It's why LA + LMP + Chain is so strong.

which way? yes that forked LA also does splash dmg to all 3 monsters, or no it doesnt do splash dmg to monsters #3+4 since it was hit by splash from the original arrow?

edit:
and why is chain better than fork?

fork= 70% projectile dmg and needs 25% more mana.
chain = 50% dmg and needs 100% more mana!

How would 'yes. It works exactly that way' confuse you when you asked a yes/no question. He said yes, and then clarified his yes.

As to fork versus chain, I'm guessing the mechanics are why it is better. Fork = when the projectile hits, it splits into two more projectiles. Those projectiles *may* find another target. When chain hits, it "chains" to a nearby target, thus granting a 100% chance to hit another monster. When you take this along with the fact that the LA splash damage hits nearby monsters every time a projectile hits, chain in your example of four monsters means this:

LA hits monster #1, splash damage is taken by monsters 2, 3, and 4. Chain kicks in and chains to 2 nearby monsters, monsters 2 and 3. When monster 2 is hit, splash damage is taken by monsters 1, 3, and 4. When monster 3 is hit, splash damage is taken by monsters 1, 2, and 4

Whereas with fork, monster 1 is hit, and unless your forked projectiles split off perfectly, there is a chance neither of the two additional projectiles from fork will hit anything, thus meaning you are only guaranteed the splash damage on monsters 2, 3, and 4 one time. It's then chance as to whether or not the forked projectiles hit anything and do their splash damage too.

With chain, it's a lock, it *will* chain to two nearby monsters that are in range. Thus you're ensured of splash damage three times.
