PoE thematically does not support having grandeur homes.
Find me somewhere aside from Lunaris/Solaris that isn't trashed to shit and provides materials that a singular exile could use to make an incredibly stylized home and we'll talk. Adding multiplayer doesn't mean it's gonna be closed servers...and they most likely won't have enough money for that. Fun small project with great graphics... but it clearly won't replace path.

PoE's hideouts are better, simply because Umbra's housing doesn't exist, and we are not sure it will exist one day. On top of that, I don't really care about housing in an arpg tbh.
