Seeking Suggestions - Divination Cards
If you could create a Divination Card, what would you put on it?
Seems pretty obvious someone will go for Shavs, or a Mirror... but realize that other things might also be allowed (and that to get a Shavs or mirror would have to either take many cards, or those cards themselves would have to be ultra rare.) I'm not sure how detailed we can get. Can we give it an explicit Vaal Corruption Implicit? Well, assume so, just for the sake of it for now. This thread has been automatically archived. Im half tempted to drop a grand to make the ultimate troll div card...
Mirror of Kalandra (requires 10 pieces) Cannot be traded Destroyed if dropped Semi-rare drop (maybe ~the same rarity as a chaos) But what the players don't know is that it has a secret mod: Does not drop for an account with 9 pieces I cannot wait to see how the player designed cards troll us... Shiversting card that takes 100 cards? Shavronne's Wrappings card that says "A balanced Shavronne's Wrappings" and actually gives Solaris Lorica... May the Troll be with you. I would like to see an item that grants xp. Not for high level characters, but for new characters to get through early phases of the game if you already have several characters.
An item that grants 20 mio. experience would basicly let you skip through normal (which is just a big tutorial anyway) Last edited by Syph#1148 on Apr 29, 2015, 11:53:21 PM

Among the interesting ideas I would have:
+ Random unique fishing pole. + Level 21 vaal gem (taking into account that vaal gems gotten through cards will automatically have 20% quality anyways). + Wisdom scroll. + The card gives another card that gives another card. + The card gives itself. + The card gives a random recipe. + The card gives an item (gem?) that increases card drop rates (only if you have a unique to design). + The card gives an item quantity gem. + The card gives a magic item with a master mod. + Siren Worm + Fish + Specific unique jewel + Specific unique jewel with corrupted mod + Random unique jewel + Random unique jewel with corrupted mod + White jewel PS : please do tell us what ideas get rejected, it's nice to know what GGG doesn't want to happen. ;-) |

My ideas before the recent GGG post were:
~ uncorrupted lvl 21 gem (21 still possible, but will be corrupted and 0 quality) ~ lvl 74-78 Cowards Trial (likely won't be allowed by current suggested terms) ~ Dragon's Gold Ring of Excavation (questionable if we can specify 2 affixes, suggested just 1) ~ Vaults of Atziri ~ Other crafting bases ~ High level maps 77-80 ~ 100 chance orbs ~ 1 Exalt And in many ways GGG hasn't limited these options. Also, I have no fear of fighting over an item. If I want it in the game, then I want it in the game. I'm happy to give the obvious ones to other people, if it means I can make sure a niche card I want to exist exists. This may therefore discourage the currency option. Lately I'm adding to the list to include: ~ Jewel crafting bases (such as a Jewel with Crit multi or etc) Again, anyone who takes any of these ideas and makes a card with it, thank you. But also, some of them are the more obvious ones. |

" It seems very, very likely that a specific unique jewel will be considered, or a jewel crafting base. |

Then please let me suggest you the Powerlessness gem if the intended affix isn't put ba k on it.

" Is it really that hard to obtain a 20 quality flask? I could understand specific affixes being added, but even then I'm mixed. Part of my dilemma is how common or rare do you want the cards. If the cards aren't that common, even when holding lower value items, then it might just be laughed at or a disappointment to receive. For example, 20 chance orbs, if we can only have 1 stack of a currency... That's worth around 2.5 chaos. Even if it only takes 2-3 cards, if the cards are not really, really common, it can start to turn into a snooze fest, no? Will we really expect to find many cards per zone? I expect not. I expect that anything whose card redemption value is worth less than say 100 chance orbs (12.5 chaos) will be more disappointing than exciting, because we'll always be stuck with the "I wish this was different card" syndrome.
