Base Damage

I honestly still can't figure out how base damage multipliers work.

I have heard it applies at the very end after all other modifiers. I have also heard it will scale the base damage of the weapon before anything else.

Like say a sword with 50-100 with molten strike would actually have 60-120 damage before increased, more, auras, and everything apply when using the skill.

Or are both of these completely and totally wrong?

Any help would be appreciated.
It doesn't make a difference if you apply it before or after all modifiers. You'll end up with the same numbers.
End result is gotten as a string of multipliers
Base * Sum of all Increases * Multiplier 1 * Multiplier 2 * ... * Multiplier N = End Result

So, you can do it in any order you like, it won't matter in the slightest.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.
