Aim of build : Use Elemental Hit to boost critical chance as high as possible, and crit build on staff.

You cant sustain Ele Shit with that build. With only attack speed from gear + Multi you're looking at a cost per second of 170 mana.

47 Mana per activation.

34 Attackspeed from Tree.
20 From Death Rush buff
7 From Ring

107% More from Multistrike

1.61(Increased Mods) * 1.524 (Base Attack Speed) * 2.07 (Multistrike)* 47 (Mana Cost per Activation) / 3 (1 Cost per 3 Attacks) = 79 Mana/Second

80 Mana should be sustainable, no?

i sustain my 5L flameblast build with 29 mana/sec :p

but flame blast cost is very small and elemental hit cost is huge?


mana leech gem can help but it's dumb, thief torment ring will reduce the damange output by a lot too with the loss of the elemental mods on the rings.

the last solution is a bit of physical damage with alot mana leech + huge mana pool - es aura+eb?- and mana regen... Maybe an artic armour build?

and multi strike is more efficient with mana/cost number of attacks than unlinked skills.

you pay higher mana cost for 3 attacks which takes more time than one single attack at higher skill cost and therefore benefit of a better mana regen/mana leech time ratio.

if it costs 50 mana each 0.5 sec for one attack or 75 mana each 1 second for 3 attack with superior dps, the 75 mana /1 second is better

Not if you leave it at lvl1. It's only 10 Mana. Since the elemental damage component is so hard to scale you might as well use it as a 92% Critical Chance Gem.
