Gifts from above and other race specific uniques

Can you chance theese items? Or are they only obtainable by playing the specific league in Zanas device? Thanks in advance for help.

You can chance them...while standing in the appropriate Zana-modded map. Not anywhere else.

Wow! How would I ever know that? How do you know that? I researched the answer before I asked the question. Just saying... I feel dumb but other than these forums, I don't know how I would obatain that info.

Err........... "race-specific uniques" like those in Descent: Champions are not obtainable anywhere, at any time, by anyone, aside from within Descent: Champions >.> Now, *league*-specific uniques....

Sorry, pedantry. Anyway, people did the research back when forsaken masters first came out. The particular info that "base items from anywhere can be chanced inside a zana-modded map, but you cannot take a base item from within a zana-modded map and chance it outside of that map" was determined for certain a bit late (the first successful chances were done inside the map with base items also found inside the map, so they weren't conclusive on this), but it should probably be on the wiki page for Zana if it isn't there yet.

So yeah, if you want a headhunter, go into a zana-nemesis map with 6 inventories of leather belts and chance orbs? ;)

It is on Zana's page, but since that is not the most obvious place people might look, I added it to the Orb of Chance page too.

I have one that I've never even killed one monster while wearing.

Those rare uniques seem so much cooler before you actually get your hands on them for yourself.

I've read that thread. I googled it too. I guess I started playing this game a little after everyone else. It is a confusing and complicated game. I like the challenge, but nowhere in that thread did they say that the only way you can obtain said items is to chance them in a specific league through zanas map device. I figured that I could obtain them through her map device throughh a random drop. The rules for chancing things are a little vague. Maybe just for me...
