question about synergy between three dragons and pyre

if i use "The Three Dragons" unique helmet with "Pyre" unique ring, does that mean i won't be able to ignite anything? three dragons will make my cold damage ignite enemies, pyre turns all my cold damage to fire. so does that mean that i'll be doing no cold damage? does that mean i'll be doing only fire damage which means i can't ignite anything?

However. i am fairly sure that herald of ash will still ignite for overkill damage, and work as normal. even with three dragons?
